THE STEEL OF INDIA
Jindal Steel and Power
Brand Campaign
If you ask me what makes the backbone of India, I’ll proudly (in an instant) inscribe the names of over a billion Indians.
When the brief came to position Jindal Steel—India’s third-largest steel producer—to be synonymous with steel, we chose to move beyond the material. Instead, we anchored the narrative in what steel stands for: resilience, grit, and quiet strength, qualities embodied by over a billion Indians. Rather than glorifying infrastructure, we turned the lens toward those who build, carry, and live it every day. Steel became a metaphor for human resolve. From railway workers to wrestlers, farmers to dancers, we traced a living, breathing portrait of a nation where strength isn’t imposed, it rises from within. Our goal was to transcend mere product representation, encapsulating the true spirit of the brand, deeply rooted in the progress of our nation.
Note on the creative thread:
The story unfolded through the sound of India, raw, unfiltered, and unmistakably alive. The clang of metal, the rhythm of movement, the chaos of streets. If you’ve been there, you know it. Within this sonic landscape, we uncovered steel as an inherent strength of the nation. A shared, unbreakable steely resolve that binds people and progress together.

THE STEEL OF OMAN
I wasn’t at the core of this campaign, but contributed peripherally as junior support, primarily working on early film visualisation during the pitch and shaping the language. What emerged weren’t just names of people—forces in their own right—but also names of values. Drawn from real people, real moments, refereeing, breaking boundaries, holding the line, and from values that weren’t abstract, but lived every day, this time, sport became the lens through which life was viewed.
With the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 hosted in Qatar, the task became one of reframing the narrative, shifting focus from spectacle to meaning. We looked at football not just as a sport, but as a shared cultural force, deeply aligned with what Oman holds dear. In collaboration with Hassan Hajjaj, the intent was to stay rooted in authenticity, keeping people at the centre.
